LSI Tugboat tows 2 Barges from Batam to UAE

LSI’s Tugboat: Marlin Ann 2 tows our Barges: Bengal Ann and Banda Ann from Batam, Indonesia all the way to Sharjah’s Hamriyah Free Zone Port in the UAE. After a brief stop in Colombo, Sri Lanka, the convoy continued through the Gulf of Oman and into the Arabian Gulf before making its final approach, where LSI support vessels assisted in berthing the barges. A few lines on the map—but a massive journey across open water. The voyage spanned nearly 4,000 nautical miles over 48 days. Check out a short video we made of the journey.
