Raz Markaz Oil Terminal Project
LSI multipurpose vessel Whiptail Ann and barge Mediterranean Ann with 6 point mooring and spuds loaded with Manitowoc 4000 W Crane completed a project in Oman at the Raz Markaz oil Terminal.
LSI’s vessels were previously involved in the same project in early 2020. As the project has entered into a later phase, our vessels Mediterranean Ann loaded with the crane which was used for piling works and installation of subsea structures at the Client’s Project site. Whiptail Ann was used to tow/assist on shallow waters and for anchor-handling duties at the project site in Raz Markaz terminal and also for the mobilization and demobilization to and from our home base at Sharjah Hamriyah.
The Project was initialized during November 2020 and finished after the first half of 2021. The project is part of a massive crude oil storage hub at Ras Markaz. The storage terminal will be for mainly storing crude oil products, with the possibility to store other products in the future.
Post completion of the initial phase, the same is expected to be launched in the first quarter of 2022 during which the remaining phases will continue to be completed.
A job well done by LSI Crew and personnel who worked for our first-class clients.
