Network Tower Modification Project
Recently LSI Vessels completed a Network Tower Modification project for our Class A client at Saadiyat Jetty in Abu Dhabi. LSI Vessels, Tugboat Mullet Ann, under the command of Capt. Meidi Max and Barge GC-88 were active at the project site. Barge GC88 was loaded with a 1,000 ton mobile crane from a 3rd party supplier which did lifts of over 100-meter elevation from the barge to the top of the pylons. Linden Shipping was originally involved during the building of the artificial islands where the pylons stand which was more than 20 years ago, so we have truly come full circle on this project.
The scope of the project was the reconfiguration of a 400KV OHL Network which involved tower dismantling between TWPS, TANE, BAHIA, Saadiyat, ADST, and related control and protection modification works.
