Launch of New-Build Multi-Vessel Whiptail Ann
LSI is pleased and proud to announce the launch of our Multi-Vessel New Build named as Whiptail Ann. Work on the Multi-Vessel started from scratch to the build completion had been completed over many phases under the in-charge of our Technical Manager: Mr. Willem Boshoven, Technical Assistant Manager: Mr. Tom van Houten and Mr. Sushant. Earlier this year, we had updated the completion of the painting of tanks, and the placement of the two Scania Engines and Four Generators after which the AC’s, ducting, cabling, switchboards, oily water separator, and sewage treatment had been fitted and interior/navigation & safety equipment fitting was completed shortly thereafter. Other major works such as the Hydraulic crane and powerpack installation, etc were completed last year during the time of the purchase of Double drum anchor handling winch and power pack, the Two Scania Main Engines, Galvanized Flanges, and Four Generators.
The Vessel Whiptail Ann, with an overall dimension of 26.27 x 10.0 x 3.5 m is one of our prized builds with an average speed of 12 knots and plenty of clear deck space. Powered with 2 Scania Main Engines, Auxillary & Backup generators, Navigation and Communication Equipment. Fire & Safety Equipment and accommodation facility for 8 personnel with leading facilities are major benefits of the new build. The deck equipment includes a Knuckle Telescopic Boom Effer Crane of 32 Tonnes capacity and a Towing Anchor Handling Winch. The Specification Details of the vessel can be viewed from our website.
The Christening Ceremony took place at LSI Yard on 04-Dec-2019, alongside the new-build were Mr. Hendrik van der Linden (MD’s father)who named the vessel alongside our MD: Mr. Dirk van der Linden in the presence of all Technical Department including the Technical and Asst. Technical Managers, Operations/Commercial Manager: Mr. Michel van der Linden, Operations Asst. Manager: Mr. Ryan van der Linden and various Office Staff and Managers. Attached Pics of the Christening Ceremony where MD personally thanked all the staff and the Technical department for making the New-Build project successful. The following day on 05-Dec-2019, the vessel was Launched and brought to LSI Jetty to complete final works prior to Whiptail Ann going for her first project in the coming year. We have also composed a short clip for our audience showing the journey of Whiptail Ann during its final stages of Construction to the Launching.
Our Technical and Operations Team along with a majority of the office staff had been working exceptionally hard to complete the new Multi-Vessel Build during the final phase before the launch.
