Marine Construction Project at Jumeirah Islands 2
Recently LSI’s client completed a Marine Construction Project at Jumeirah Islands 2 Dubai UAE for arguably the Largest construction firm in the middle east. LSI hired out Vessels and other marine related services out to our client which included Tugs: Halibut Ann (Capt. Mohd. Aqil Balouch), Grouper Ann, (Capt. Ibrahim Adam), Salmon Ann, (Capt. Meidi Max Koleangan) and Bass Ann, ( Capt. Rangga Syahrial) and Barges: Mina Ann, River Ann and Bab Ann – loaded with LSI Crane C60, were active in the project.
LSI Winch Operators: Mr. Golam Mostofa, Mr. Gunapala Mendon & Mr. Jayaprakash Mohanan and Crane Operators: Mr. Yasir Iqbal, Mr. Khalid Abbasi, Mr. Syed T. H. Shah & Mr. Nixon John were other personnel along with Crew that were present in the said project and making it a great success for our client and the developer.
River Ann loaded with a 280 tons crawler Crane was towed to the Project Site by our Tug Grouper Ann and several pontoons were transported to the site when the project was ongoing.
The Private Island Project was built for Royalty and is a dazzling resort in the midst of the ever-growing Jumeirah Water-front area, LSI presence took place over a span of more than 1 year which initiated in September 2017. However, the land reclamation had started much earlier by other parties. The project was completed within the projected time and all equipment’s & personnel returned back safely to LSI base.
